The Vgn Bae Studio was packed to the point that there was no route to go to the bathroom unless you went out the back way, but I tell you it was worth it and a good problem to have for a gospel concert. As T'Mill Curtis introduced the co-owner of the Vgn Bae Studio, up walks this beautiful young lady with the sweetest smile. I was expecting a guy to walk up, but no, she is a sister and she held the audience's attention. As she took the mic, the audience stop talking to listen to her. She was so gracious, poised, and did not hold up the mic. Too often CEOs will take up unnecessary time talking about nothing.
The Roosevelt Tour got off to a good start. I loved how I was treated like a VIP, and I was escorted to the VIP section and handed a gift box. Not only was I invited to sit up front but my two guests, International, award-winning, recording artist/author, Janice Peterson, and Kim Mason, CEO of Women Cultivating Greatness were invited to sit with me. The hostess was on their game with the frequent visits to see if we were alright or if we needed anything. Uncle G had us well taken care of, which raised my bar in respect for him and what he gives out.
I have admired Greg Lyons "Uncle G" from afar and interacted with him through social media, but the Roosevelt Tour was my first time experiencing Uncle G on a whole nother level. I was wowed at the excellency of performance of his artists. The fun, the laughter, the joy, and the overall amazing show was well worth it and then some.
The headliner artists came with it like they were the closing act. Every time an artist would finish, I was looking for Anthony Hall to come on because the artists were on their game! They all could minister as well as sing, and I found that to be such glory to God! There was some upcoming artist that was allowed to sing and that was very admirable of the seasoned artists to share the stage with them.
The band, I was like who are they? The band was so precise with every artist, which is not an easy thing to do. The band did not miss a beat or a note. I have never seen anything like it because in general, when the average musician plays for someone that is not a part of their crew, notes might get missed or the flow is off.
At one point the band was just playing without an artist on stage, and they were holding the audience strong! They are one of the best bands I have ever heard and definitely Grammy level!!!
Now, readers, it is time for me to tell you about the main artist, Anthony Hall. I found him to be so sweet and down. I was able to speak with him and congratulate him after the show and he was so respectful, unlike some of the younger generations.
Anthony came on stage and quieted the audience down. For a minute I was concerned but then BAM!! Anthony did his thing and surprised me! I had heard that he was a brilliant artist and now I know he has something special that will carry him a long way. He also introduced his lovely wife and kids, which was priceless to me.
Anthony Hall has a unique style with flavor. His tall-lean stance, colorful expression in dress, and stage presence were refreshing. He is no carbon copy like many artists. God made all of us for a special purpose, so we will never have to copy anyone.
Hall allowed everyone to be a part of his stage by involving the band, background singers, the audience, and his promoter, Uncle G. I loved Hall's character and upstanding ways.
Anthony's promotional team did an excellent job of marketing his products. I absolutely love my gift box. The gift box was packaged so neat with his CD, t-shirt, a college letter, promo card, and a travel cup. I greatly appreciate my gift!
I enjoyed seeing some of Houston's media like Larry Robinson, who took good care of me, and Amber Shaw with that contagious smile! Cole Rose, former rapper with T Pain and now a gospel rapper with the D.O.P.E. Movement. She is doing an amazing job in trying to capture the youth by teaching them the arts and entertainment God's way.
The amazing Vgn Bae Studio is a great place to produce your music, take professional pictures, film podcast and a lot more! Well family, if Uncle G is hosting an event I strongly advise you to attend.
About Anthony Hall
A New Orleans native, Anthony Hall emerges as an artist with his musical roots in Jazz, Funk, and R&B. His father being locally renowned jazz artist Emile Hall, Jr., afforded Anthony the opportunity to grow up surrounded and influenced by a wide expanse of music. In turn, he has created a unique sound within infusions of both Modern and Classic R&B, Funk, and Soul. Anthony’s vocal texture, tone, and control surprise those who hear him for the first time, placing him squarely in his own lane. He has been blessed to share the stage with numerous artists over the past 20+yrs while also serving as Director of Media and Music in the Houston church community. Anthony not only sings but is one of the producers of his music and co-owner of Vgn Bae Music Group. With all of his life experience in music as a foundation, he is now stepping out to pursue his dream of being an artist… On his terms, with his own sound.

Greg Lyons, better known as "Uncle G" is one of the top promoters in Houston and various states. He has a youthful disposition that draws you in, yet he commands respect with just a look, and he has a presence that tells you don't step wrong. He is well-loved and respected by recording artists throughout the U.S. Readers, in this month's issue, you will see the powerful stance of his artists and why he is successful. I was at Uncle G's Roosevelt Tour in Houston at the Vgn Bae Studios, and I was blwon away at how excellent the recording artists were ministering. I had the pleasure of meeting Greg's beautiful Queen, his wife, Tiesha Lyons and she handled the crowd graciously. I thought her to be a classy lady. All in all, It was the best tour I have ever been to!
